Once found from Nuʻuanu to Pālolo on Oʻahu, their population was once so numerous that they hung in clusters on vines. Unfortunately kāhuli are now considered extinct. There is, however, a small project to rehabilitate them in Kaʻala on Oʻahu.
Laulima was founded by conservation biologist and artist Danya Weber to connect people with the native plants and animals that we share our home with. Purchase of this product directly supports conservation efforts throughout Hawaiʻi of our native flora and fauna.
