Naupaka Kahakai (Beach Naupaka ) + Retro Naupaka

There are nine species of this native plant found in Hawai‘i, each five-petaled with a half flower appearance.  Two are found at the shore and the others in the mountains.  There’s several versions of the story: of a love not able to be, the wahine and the kāne separated for all time, one at the shore and the other in the mountains
