Kapa Earrings ʻEhu

Kapa Earrings ʻEhu

ʻEhu (reddish brown) colored Kapa earrings are naturally dyed using Kukui Bark or Noni Root.

Kapa earrings perpetuate the traditional art of kapa (barkcloth) making in old Hawaiʻi.  Kapa was the main textile used in traditional life and used for clothing and bed coverings.

Both the kapa and earrings are created by kapa maker Kaleʻa Raymond.  Kapa is coated in a thin, natural based resin for longevity.  Findings are hypoallergenic sterling silver and gold fill.
